Welcome to

Yoga Sanctuary School

A Yoga Alliance-certified Teacher Training organization that provides continuing education and wellness experiences both on and off a yoga mat.

Continuing Education

Join us for our next training module— Ahimsa Immersion — a 50-hour training open to all students and accredited through the Yoga Alliance as Continuing Education for Registered Yoga Teachers.

We will explore alignment that supports peace in the subtle energy of the body-mind-spirit as a community.

We’ll meet at West End Yoga Studio for 7 hours a weekend, through 7 months.

Each weekend we’ll meet for 2 hours on Friday evening, 3 hours on Saturday afternoon, and 2 hours on Sunday afternoon.

From past students

“Jonina's understanding of the human body, kinesiology (human movement), and many other aspects of the field of physical therapy is unmatched in the central PA area. She is an active learner who is constantly growing and is a phenomenal teacher capable of imparting this on the individuals, patients, and students that she works with.  As someone who works in the field of health and wellness, I've worked with and been treated by a number of professionals. Jonina takes a high place in my list of referrals for clients and patients in need. Highly recommended!”

Alignment-Based Yoga Training

Yoga Sanctuary School currently offers trainings through one primary instructor. Jonina Turzi, Doctor of Physical Therapy, offers a 200-hour Yoga Alliance-certified “Alignment Yoga” Teacher Training. The training takes place over 10 weekends at West End Yoga Studio in Lancaster, PA.

The focus is on highly specific yoga techniques and skills that deepen one’s personal practice and prepare them to teach yoga to others. The alignment-based methodology provides anatomic and physiologic gateways for radical and optimal embodiment of the practitioner within their physical, mental, emotional, and subtle fields.

Alignment Yoga Teacher Training with Jonina

from past students

“I came to this teacher training having just completed another 200 Hour Hatha Yoga Teacher Training, and therefore I was already qualified to teach yoga. My wish was that the alignment yoga training could enhance what I had already learned. I also was very much hoping that the alignment training could help me achieve my bigger goals- to be as healthy as I can be within the confines of this body and to live a good life in which I make a positive impact. I can say that without a doubt that the training that I have undertaken through the Yoga Sanctuary School has helped me to find more balance in my life both on and off the mat. I feel like my vision for the woman that I want to be is more focus now than it has ever been before. The community that I have found through this training has enhanced my life in ways that I simply cannot put into words. All that I can really say in closing is thank you, and of course namaste.”
